Exploring Caves

This traditional cave diving class is for those divers that want to explore even more than the PADI Cavern or PADI Intro To Cave Diving classes allow. Dive to a full 1/3 of your two tank air supply, explore side passageways as well as plan transits, circuits and jumps.

Pre Requisites

18 years old
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
PADI Enriched Air Diver (recommended)
PADI Sidemount Diver (if using sidemount gear)


$1500 / diver which includes student manual, all instruction, 1 pool dive, 6 days of cave diving and certification.

You are responsible for travel expenses, any dive site or park admissions, gas fills & any equipment needs.

Equipment Needed

Personal Gear: Mask, fins, boots, logbook, knife or diver tool on upper body.

Overhead Gear: Primary Light (not lantern grip),  2 backup lights, primary penetration reel (300′ – 400′), backup reel (~140′)

Diving System: Backmount doubles or sidemount configuration including 2 tanks,  BCD with low pressure inflator, primary regulator, secondary regulator with 7′ hose, SPG, depth gauge or dive computer, compass, non-quick release weight system and weights, adequate exposure protection, dive computer or RDP w/ timing device.

Cave students are required to have their own equipment to ensure familiarity with it.
